Where were we left off, now all on track in Barcelona

It’s race week in Barcelona! The long-awaited moment has finally arrived, after the Miami round, all categories from F1 Academy to F1 return to the track. Promising plenty of entertainment on track.

Where we left off with the F1 Academy

The last event was at the beginning of May. In Miami, where Abbi Pulling managed to dominate in both races, taking home the maximum possible points.
Now the ranking sees the Englishwoman in first place with 99 points. Followed by Doriane Pin with 65 and Maya Weug in third place with 51.
Their weekend consists of a single free practice to adapt to the circuit before moving on to qualifying and two races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday each of 16 laps. Who knows whether Pulling will be able to extend his dominance in Barcelona as well. Or whether Weug or Pin, returning from a period of absence from racing due to a physical problem, will be able to snatch the lead.

The return of F2 and F3

The other minor formulas will also be back on track, after Montecarlo, it’s Barcelona’s turn.
So much action and so many expectations starting from F3 the battle is open. The contenders are all close, in first place there is the Italian of the Prema team Gabriele Minì followed by the British Luke Browining and in third place Leonardo Fornaroli. All packed into just 8 points.

F2 also returns, where the challenge for the lead will be reignited between Paul Aron and Isack Hadjar trying to make up the two-point disadvantage. All eyes will also be on the young talent, Josep Maria Martí, who will certainly want to win something important on his home circuit.
But not only that, the drivers’ market is also turning on, so watch out for news concerning Bearman and Antonelli in particular.

The F1 test bench

Also lighting up the weekend is F1, which returns after the ocean crossing that saw the drivers race in Canada.
Barcelona will be a very important test, only here will it be possible to see the actual results of the updates brought, in particular by Ferrari, Mercedes and McLaren.
After two rounds on city circuits, we arrive in Spain, where between fast corners and straights Max Verstappen‘s victory is no longer so certain.
The tables are more turned than ever and the Ferrari drivers will certainly be looking for redemption, with Carlos Sainz ready to run his last home race in red. While the Mclaren drivers will be looking to snatch important points for both championships.
Watch out, however, also for the battle in the rear between Aston Martin, with home idol Alonso, and Visa Cash App RB.

Expectations are high now we just have to wait and see what surprises the Barcelona’s Gran Prix will be able to give us.
